The Northville community is mourning the loss of a beloved teacher, J. Adam Cole Jr., who passed away due to an aortic aneurysm.
NORTHVILLE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -Outside Northville Central School, its flag is at half staff. Parents told NEWS10 it was done in memory of Mr. Adam Cole. They add that in the short time he’d been teaching math and coaching basketball and baseball there, his impact was immensely positive on their kids.

In the obituary posted by Northville Funeral Service, Inc., J. Adam Cole Jr. is said to have passed from an aortic aneurysm. NEWS10’s Anthony Krolikowski spoke with students who planned to read him letters they wrote to him for a health class project on appreciation next week.

Both mentioned how Mr. Cole never left anyone behind in the classroom. It ended up being the first math class they felt listened to and the only class they felt understood and wanted.
A Life of Service and Coaching
Before his time at Northville, Cole spent time with the NEKF Tigers, an amateur sports team, as an offensive coordinator and assistant coach for ten years. The team hasn’t played since 2015 but a spokesperson said Cole was one of the greatest people he knew.

Funeral services are open to the school and sporting communities on Monday and privately on Tuesday. Tuesday’s services will also be livestreamed.
