It’s officially cold South Florida! Friday morning brought widespread low- to mid-40s across the region, meaning temperatures have fallen more than 20 degrees compared to Thursday morning. There is a noticeable north breeze, too, making it feel even cooler.

A cold weather advisory is in effect until 9 a.m. as wind chills in the lower 30s are expected, the National Weather Service said. This is officially iguana-falling-out-of-trees weather!

Fort Lauderdale’s low hit 43 degrees, which was last recorded there on Jan. 15, 2023.
