THURSDAY NIGHT: Clouds fill back in. Seasonable temperatures. Light northeast winds. Low: 59.
Friday will feature similar conditions to those observed on Thursday, with clouds and mixed hazy sunshine at times.
A slow moving surface high to the north will encourage a weak northeasterly flow to bring more wildfire smoke to the surface. The “Air Quality Alert” has been extended until midnight Friday night and it may be extended into part of the weekend if current trends continue to hold.
Wildfire smoke is expected to continue to have an impact on particulate levels with daily 24-hour AQI (Air Quality Index) at “Unhealthy for sensitive groups” or higher.

High temperatures Friday will look very similar Thursday with low to middle 70s expected inland and middle 60s closer to the lake as a pesky northeast wind will continue to deliver cooling breezes for areas in close proximity to Lake Michigan.
