Hull claims that Henyard and Woods haven’t paid their $2,400 monthly rent for September or October, and only paid $2,200 in August.

No Show in Court

Hull had scheduled a court date to make her case, but neither Henyard nor Woods showed up. As a result, Hull was left unable to present her claims, adding to her frustration. "I would have told the judge she owes me $5,000 in back rent, plus any late fees," Hull said.

Eviction Attempts Unsuccessful

Earlier this month, Cook County sheriff’s deputies attempted to serve Henyard and Woods with eviction papers at both their home and Dolton Village Hall, but were unsuccessful, according to court records.

Stalled Board Meetings

This issue is not the only challenge Henyard is facing. Her board meetings have been stalled, and on Tuesday evening, she waited for a quorum to start a scheduled bi-monthly meeting, but it was called off due to lack of attendance. According to her, "Our job is to pay the bills, pass ordinances, and ensure you know what we’ve been doing over the past month. Eventually, this will end up in court because this can’t continue."

Locks and Garage Door Code Changed

Hull’s frustration was further exacerbated when she arrived at the home on Saturday for maintenance, only to find the locks and garage door code had been changed. "I’m bewildered," she said. "The same tactics she’s using with the trustees—changing locks on offices—is what she does to everyone. This behavior has to stop. It’s not how a public servant should act."
