A devastating rollover crash occurred outside of Chicago Police Headquarters on the city’s South Side, resulting in the loss of two lives. The incident unfolded around 1:40 a.m. on Monday in the 3500 block of South Michigan Avenue.
Accident Details
According to police, an 18-year-old man was driving a black Infiniti sedan southbound on Michigan Avenue when he failed to stop at a red light and crashed into a silver sedan in the intersection. The 45-year-old male driver of the silver sedan and the 40-year-old woman passenger were both transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center. Unfortunately, their lives were cut short, and they were pronounced dead at the hospital.

The Major Accidents Unit is currently investigating the incident. The 18-year-old driver of the Infiniti was treated for his injuries and transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center in fair condition.
