“Joe has a long road ahead of him, both physically and emotionally\/mentally,” she continued.<\/p>\n
Last week, the 45-year-old shared a message of appreciation to all of the people who have supported him since the Dec. 31 shove.<\/p>\n
“A massive thank you to the first responders who saved my life on New Year’s Eve, the bystanders\u2014especially the good Samaritan outside the train who provided comfort\u2014and to the medical teams at Bellevue for their remarkable care in helping me begin my recovery,” Joseph Lynskey said in a message posted to his GoFundMe, which is nearing its goal.<\/p>\n
“I am full of gratitude for every single one of you,” he added.<\/p>\n
Police said the suspect accused of violently pushing a man onto subway tracks in front of an oncoming train in Chelsea on New Year’s Eve has been arrested on an attempted murder charge. Kamel Hawkins, 23, was taken into custody later that day.
