On the menu, you\u2019ll find gourmet cookies, cupcakes, brownies and more sweet treats. At its heart, it&#8217;s about neighbors helping neighbors. <\/p>\n<p>Ashley Alikhan, a Gloversville native, learned how to bake from her grandma. Despite some bumps in the road, Alikhan said she has found support in every direction her business has taken her.<\/p>\n<h2>Supporting a Local Girl<\/h2>\n<h3>Lily&#8217;s Battle with Cancer<\/h3>\n<p>When Alikhan learned about five-year-old Lily Smith&#8217;s battle with a rare and aggressive cancer, she knew she wanted to help. In the only way she knew how.<br \/>\n\u201cI wish there was more we could do. I wish we could take their pain away, but we can\u2019t so this is what we can do,&quot; she said. &quot;We decided to do a cupcake each day for Lily. She loves pink and purple, so we\u2019ve done strawberry shortcake, strawberry milkshake, we\u2019re going to do strawberry banana.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>Fundraising Efforts<\/h2>\n<h3>Sales and Donations<\/h3>\n<p>Since Alikhan started making &#8216;Lily\u2019s Cupcakes&#8217; on March 26, they\u2019ve sold 1,160 cupcakes, collected $2,220 in jar donations and raised more than $8,020 for Lily\u2019s family.<br \/>\n\u201cWhat Ashley has been doing here for us, it\u2019s just, it\u2019s been amazing,&quot; said Megan Smith, Lily&#8217;s mom. &quot;It really means the world to our family and it is what is helping us get through each day.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>Getting Involved<\/h2>\n<h3>Visiting Cravings Bakery &amp; Caf\u00e9<\/h3>\n<p>Cravings Bakery &amp; Caf\u00e9 is located at 47 Cayadutta Street in Gloversville.
