Top of the Rock continues its pursuit to dominate the city’s skyline with the debut of its latest attraction, Skylift. This revolutionary new ride will allow guests to soar nearly 900 feet in the air, nearly a quarter of the building’s height, for an unobstructed 360-degree view of the city.
Riding Experience
Skylift is built on the 70th floor of 30 Rockefeller Plaza, incorporating marble-like tiers and LED pixel flutes to echo Rock Center’s classic art deco architecture. As shown in the renderings, the ride is an open-air platform that stands tall, three stories above the topmost floor of the iconic building. Once in place, the platform gradually revolves, offering a continuous panoramic view of the New York City skyline, recreating a thrilling sensation of floating among skyscrapers.
