Details of the Incident
Police have released an image of the person wanted in connection with a deadly Bronx stabbing outside of a former police station early on Monday morning.
The black-and-white image shows a man with a mustache wearing a hooded sweatshirt. Cops believe this is the suspect who allegedly stabbed 39-year-old Shamel Parnell of Harlem to death on Monday.
According to police sources, the suspect stopped Parnell in front of 1925 Bathgate Ave. in Tremont at about 12:22 a.m. on June 2 and engaged him in a verbal argument.
During the dispute, police reported, the perpetrator brandished a knife and stabbed Parnell multiple times throughout his body and neck. Following the attack, cops said, the perpetrator fled the scene in a black sedan last seen heading westbound on East 179th Street.
Police say they are investigating Monday after a man was stabbed to death outside of a Bronx NYPD station house that has been turned into a preschool.
