Prisons Begin Opening Visitation for Families, Lawyers
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10)– Visitation at correctional facilities around the state is beginning to resume, according to the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision. Visitation for weekend visits resumed over the weekend at nine facilities, and lawyer visitations began Monday at 30 prisons.

Family Visitations
The following facilities have resumed family visitations:
- Bedford Hills from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Fishkill from 8:15 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Green Haven from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- Hale Creek from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- Hudson from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Queensboro from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
- Shawangunk from 8:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.
- Sing Sing from 8:15 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Taconic from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
According to the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision, the length of the visit may be capped due to the number of visitors expected and each facility’s visitation rules must be followed.

Lawyer visitations are expected to resume in nine other facilities within two weeks. Those facilities include Cayuga on March 19, Clinton on March 21, Five Points on March 24, Franklin on March 24, Greene on March 24, and Woodbourne on March 19.
Facilities with Pending Visitation Resumption
The dates for Albion, Coxsackie and Mid-State are yet to be determined. It’s unknown by the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision when legal visits for Bare Hill, Sing Sing, and Upstate, will resume.
