Pickleball is Returning to Wollman Rink a Month Earlier than Usual
CityPickle Brings Pickleball to Wollman Rink
CityPickle is bringing the popular sport pickleball back to Central Park a month earlier than last year. On April 4, pickleball enthusiasts can return to Wollman Rink, but instead of hitting the ice, they can hit the court. Now in its third year, the season will last through early fall. Over the past two seasons, the pickleball court at Wollman Rink has drawn in 130,000 participants of all ages and backgrounds.
Partnership Between CityPickle and Wollman Park Partners
“We’re thrilled to continue our partnership with Wollman Park Partners, especially as the iconic destination celebrates its 75th anniversary,” said Co-Founder of CityPickle Erica Desai. “By transforming the famed ice rink to pickleball courts during the warmer seasons, we can ensure Wollman remains a hub for outdoor activity and recreation year-round,” added Co-Founder of CityPickle Mary Cannon.
