While children trick-or-treat on Oct. 31, adults can spend their Halloweekend participating in boozy activities and letting loose their inner child.

Event Details

Stone Street will host its first Halloween Bar Fest on Nov. 1 from 2 to 8 p.m. Presented by Mad City Bar Fest, several bars will come together to serve the 21-and-older community in an outdoor event featuring games, photo booths and a variety of drink specials. Organizers encourage attendees to wear costumes.
Tickets are available on Eventbrite. Attendees receive a wristband that provides access to bars such as Daisy Dukes Honky Tonk, 19 South William St.; Beckett’s Sports Bar, 81 Pearl St.; Stone Street Tavern, 52 Stone St.; Havana Social, 15 South William St.; and more.

The Historic Nightlife Hub

The cobblestone street, which dates back to the 1600s, is “loved by tourists and locals alike,” according to the Stone Street website. The area has also helped support small bar businesses in the Financial District.
Street festivals at the nightlife hub generate revenue for businesses along Stone Street. Cathal O’Brien, co-owner of Daisy Dukes Honky Tonk and director of operations for several bars on Stone Street, spearheaded the effort to bring local bars together for street parties at the nightlife hub.

Bringing the Community Together

“There is a lot of young energy coming into FiDi right now – it’s become a vibrant neighborhood over the years,” O’Brien said. “We, the bars on Stone Street, are always bringing that energy together, and there’s a huge appetite for these kinds of street events. So, it was only a matter of time until we introduced the area’s first Halloween festival.”
As a business owner, O’Brien said Daisy Dukes Honky Tonk’s participation in a large-scale event during one of the city’s biggest holiday weekends made it an ideal option. Guests would not have to worry about capacity limits, leading to more revenue and exposure for the business.
In addition to his role as director of operations, O’Brien said straightforward ticketing provides convenient access for everyone to join the event.
“I’m excited to see how the neighborhood comes alive,” O’Brien said. “We’ve always wanted to do something big for Halloween on the street, and we have amazing partners this year. I’m very excited to see it become reality.”

A Unique Experience

The event offers a unique experience compared to most Halloween parties held in a single venue. By combining multiple bars along the historic nightlife hub, it takes bar hopping to a new level.
