A senior in the West Village died after a fire ripped through her apartment building on Wednesday morning, it was reported. Firefighters rushed to 142 Waverly Place, between 6th Avenue and Grove Street, at 7:20 a.m. on March 5 after smoke started pouring out of a 5-story building.
