Details of the Incident

A 20-year-old man was left seriously wounded after being shot outside a bodega in the Bronx on Wednesday evening. According to police sources, the incident occurred at 5:48 p.m. on February 19, outside a small grocery store located at 963 Teller Avenue in Concourse Village.

The Shooting

The victim was standing outside the bodega when an unidentified suspect approached him, pulled out a gun, and opened fire. Officers from the 44th Precinct responded to the scene after receiving a 911 call and found the victim lying on the street with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) transported the victim to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where he is expected to survive.
