Small Bites
What/When: Chef-tastics such as Todd English, Mario Carbone, Fabio Trabocchi, Lindsay Autry, Stéphane Andrieux, Laurent Tourondel and others will bring their gastronomic greatness to Artisans of Wine and Food in Boca Raton this month.
The Inaugural Event
The inaugural event, from Jan. 17-19, will bring more than 75 winemakers and 20-plus celebrated chefs (with a galaxy of Michelin stars) to SoFlo for sip/sup experiences. The fine wine and fine dining event is being double-teamed by resplendent resort The Boca Raton and oenophile omniscient Napa Valley Vintners of California.
Curating the Tastemakers and Toastmasters
Daniel A. Hostettler, president and CEO of The Boca Raton, says curating the tastemakers and toastmasters meant making use of their cultivated relationships with world-renowned chefs and working hand in hand with Napa Valley Vintners.
Our goal was to curate a well-rounded group of masterful chefs and vintners who excel at their craft and create magic when paired together. For example, our al fresco vintner-hosted Dinner en Plein Air spotlights incredible female chefs from across the country, paired with female-run wineries for each course.

What They Are Saying:
Q: What led to the creation of the first-ever Artisans of Wine & Food event?
"Early in my career, I had the pleasure of leading the food and beverage operations at Auction Napa Valley — the original, sister event to Artisans of Wine & Food — during my tenure at Meadowood Napa Valley," recalls Hostettler. "I interacted with countless vintner chair-people who all had passionate visions for the event weekend. It inspired me to bring a version of this famed Napa Valley educational and charitable event to South Florida."
Q: Why do you think this series of vino-cuisine experiences belongs at The Boca Raton?
"The Boca Raton is the ideal location for an event like this because of our ongoing commitment to introduce dynamic culinary experiences that excite our private club members and resort guests," he adds. "We offer more than 15 dining concepts that have positioned The Boca Raton as a culinary leader in South Florida, including a pioneering collaboration with Major Food Group and Mario Carbone to offer four signature restaurants. Our drink and dine program includes a robust calendar of wine clinics, wine dinners and partnerships throughout the year, so the Artisans of Wine & Food weekend is the perfect culmination to celebrate the art of fine dining and exceptional hospitality."
