Eyewitness Account

Jenny Bailey, a resident who lives across the street from the crash site, witnessed the incident. She was walking her dog when she heard a loud bang and saw the vehicle rolling over on the roadway. "It was flipped over on its back," she said.

Surveillance Footage

Bailey’s backyard surveillance video shows ambulances and police officers rushing to the scene, which was chaotic, with traffic grinding to a halt in all directions. "It was chaotic," Bailey said.

Chase and Crash in Davie

According to Plantation Police, officers were attempting to arrest a suspect with outstanding warrants when the suspect drove off and caused a chain of events, leading to the second crash in Davie. The suspect is still at large and has not been apprehended.

The second crash occurred near Davie Road and State Road 84 in Davie, about five minutes away from the first crash. A Plantation officer was involved in the two-car crash and was taken to a nearby hospital. The driver of the second car involved in the crash stayed at the scene.
