Police are searching for the gunman who opened fire in a Miami neighborhood, leaving one man dead and another critically wounded. The incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. on Friday in the 7000 block of Northeast 77th Court, near First Court.

Witnesses Describe Alarming Scene

Marlon Castro Martinez, the cousin of 35-year-old Robin Fernandez, who was killed in the shooting, described a chaotic and frightening scene. "The man asked for a beer, and when we told him no, he became irate," he said. "We saw the gun, and we took off running. [The shooter] began chasing us all around the apartment building."

Gunfire Caught on Ring Surveillance Camera

A Ring surveillance camera captured audio of the gunshots, while another camera recorded several people running. The footage shows one person running across a parking lot.

Victims Identified

Fernandez, a 35-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. David Pichinte, 32, was transported to Jackson Medical Center’s Ryder Trauma Center in grave condition.

Detectives Search for Suspect

Detectives are still searching for the shooter, described as a 17- to 18-year-old male. They are canvassing the neighborhood, asking neighbors for any information about the shooting. As of late Saturday night, the suspect remains at large.

The shooting has left neighbors on edge. "He could be around, just walking at night," said one resident.
