Not long after announcing the closure of CosMc’s spinoff restaurants, McDonald’s has confirmed its legacy will live on with new menu items soon to be tested at locations across the country.

The test, which begins on Sept. 2 at more than 500 McDonald’s restaurants nationwide, will offer CosMc’s inspired drinks at locations mostly in Wisconsin and Colorado, with some in surrounding areas.

Picking up on CosMc’s beverage-centric menu, McDonald’s will be offering plenty of new, colorful choices the next time you’re looking for a cold beverage.

Among them for coffee drinkers are the Toasted Vanilla Frappe and Creamy Vanilla Cold Brew, giving a new twist to some established AM favorites.

For those who avoid the java, McDonald’s is offering refreshers and “dirty sodas”— soda-based drinks spiked with add-ins such as flavored syrups. The cold beverages include the Strawberry Watermelon Refresher, Sprite Lunar Splash and Popping Tropic Refresher.

“We’re seeing real momentum in beverages, with more people – especially our Gen Z fans – turning to cold, flavorful drinks as a go-to treat,” said Alyssa Buetikofer, McDonald’s chief customer experience and marketing officer, said in a statement. “It’s a great opportunity for us to meet our U.S. customers’ evolving tastes and show up in new moments, like afternoon refreshment or snack breaks.”

While the fast food giant indicated most locations running the beverage test will be located in Wisconsin and Colorado, a full list of participating locations was unknown.

More information regarding the beverages is expected to be unveiled upon the Sept. 2 launch date.
