George Russell rounded out the podium in third for Mercedes, ahead of pole-sitter Charles Leclerc for Ferrari — who saw poor strategy and car fall-off spoil his chance at victory. Leclerc led 28 laps in the grand prix, his most in a race this season. Norris was able to gain ground due to only pitting one time for new tires, compared to twice for Piastri, Russell and Leclerc. He had the tire disadvantage down the stretch, but was able to hold on for his ninth career victory and fifth of the season. Piastri has six wins in 2025, most of all drivers.
