Smith was stabbed multiple times, with one passenger slashing his wrist and another cutting his shoulder and back area. The fight lasted for several minutes, leaving Smith bleeding profusely. The attackers then slit two of his tires and fled the scene.
Surviving the Attack
Smith was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital Trauma Center, where he received treatment for his injuries. In a state of shock, he recalls thinking, "I thought I was going to bleed out, so I just sat down." He was eventually treated and released from the hospital.
Seeking Justice and Recovery
