The James Beard Foundation Brings its National Tour to Miami
The James Beard Foundation is bringing its annual Taste America tour to Miami, and Deco got an exclusive first look at what’s in store for the event. For one night only, foodies will have the opportunity to savor the unique flavors of Miami’s culinary scene at a special dinner at Maty’s, a Peruvian restaurant awarded one of Bon Appétit’s best new restaurants in 2024.
A Collaboration of Culinary Talents
The event features a collaboration between two talented chefs, Tam Pham of Tam Tam, a Vietnamese drinking and food restaurant in downtown Miami, and Valerie Chang, chef and owner of Maty’s. Chang was awarded one of Bon Appétit’s best new restaurants last year, and Pham’s Tam Tam was recently recognized as one of the 2024 Bon Appétit best new restaurants in America.

The dinner at Maty’s will reflect the signature styles of both chefs, offering a unique and intimate gathering that food lovers in South Florida won’t want to miss.
