The man was inside his car in Joe’s Airport Parking\u00a0when a masked gunman approached, pepper-sprayed him and then taped him up, possibly with duct tape.<\/p>\n
The man told police he visited the downtown Los Angeles Jewelry District Tuesday morning and drove around trying to sell items during the afternoon. That evening, he was sitting in his car in the parking structure when the armed robber put a gun to his face, police said.
\nThe gunman indicated he had an accomplice somewhere near the scene of the crime.<\/p>\n
After the robber left, another person heard the victim — identified as a man in his 50s — when he honked his car horn for help.
