Luigi, 26, pleaded not guilty in April to federal charges \u2014 two counts of stalking, one count of murder through a firearm, as well as one count of firearms offense for an allegation that he used a silencer \u2014 in connection with the shooting.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400\">She previously shared insight into his defense\u2019s potential strategy, telling CNN in December before she took the case, \u201cThere might be a not guilty by reason of insanity defense that they\u2019re going to be thinking about because the evidence is going to be so overwhelming that he did what he did.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tCombs faces five criminal counts in total, including two of sex trafficking. He has denied all the allegations.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400\">\u201cAs a former prosecutor in that office, I would be concerned that you have someone who is a valedictorian of his class, he was brilliant his whole life, he comes from this great family,\u201d she continued. \u201cSomething changed, significantly, something changed.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400\">Along with a notable name, Karen said she\u2019s learned a lot from Marc \u2014 who previously represented NXVIM leader <\/span>Keith Raniere<span style=\"font-weight:400\"> in his 2018 sex-trafficking case for which he was sentenced to 120 years in prison.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400\">\u201cThere\u2019s no crime necessarily that I wouldn\u2019t take or even set of factors that I wouldn\u2019t take,\u201d she said on the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight:400\">&#8220;Shut Up Mommy\u2019s Talking&#8221;<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight:400\">podcast in 2022. \u201cI do believe that everyone\u2019s entitled to a defense and to good representation, and I\u2019ve always believed that.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>PHOTOS: P.
