Billie Eilish Fans Brave the Cold to Camp Out for Sold-Out Shows

Hundreds Flock to Kia Forum Overnight

The cold was hitting them hard overnight. Hundreds of passionate Billie Eilish fans flocked to the Kia Forum like birds of a feather overnight and were seen camping out in front of the venue early Sunday ahead of the first of Eilish’s five sold-out shows there this week.

Fans Raring to Go

All puns aside, fans are raring to go. In fact, some of them got to the Forum more than 24 hours before the show’s scheduled start time of 7 p.m.

Camping Out in the Cold

"We got here around 5 o’clock yesterday and have been camping here ever since," one fan, who was accompanied by some friends, told KTLA 5’s Omar Lewis just after 8 a.m. Sunday. "It’s been really cold out here and we’ve been trying to keep warm…we’re willing to stick it out for Billie."

Aiming for the Barricade

He and his friends were aiming to get to the barricade between the stage and the general admission section, which is the closest fans can get to the performers. They said they were 94th in line to get in, which, seeing as the Forum has a capacity of 17,500 people, means they will likely be pretty close to the action.

First Show Since Incident

Sunday’s show is the first since Eilish, 22, was struck in the face by a bracelet that was thrown at her by someone in the crowd during a performance in Arizona on Friday.

Disappointed but Hopeful

The group of fans who spoke to KTLA said they were "very disappointed" that something like that would happen and hoped a similar incident wouldn’t occur at the Forum.

Lineup and Openers

Each Forum show will have a different opener; Sunday’s opening act is The MarĂas. The other opening acts include Towa Bird, Nat & Alex Wolff, Ashnikko and Finneas, the latter of whom is Eilish’s brother and main producer.

Tour Continues

After Sunday, Eilish will perform at the Forum on Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday before her "Hit Me Hard and Soft" tour continues in Australia in February. She celebrates her 23rd birthday on Wednesday.

Conclusion

Billie Eilish fans are known for their dedication and enthusiasm, and it’s clear that these fans are no exception. Despite the cold and the potential risks, they’re willing to do whatever it takes to get close to their idol and experience the magic of her live shows.
