“They came and they knocked,” the victim said.
She said she opened the door because she thought it was her sister. It didn’t take long to realize they weren’t family — they came to fight.
“She had a ski mask on, so, you know, like, I realized it was weird,” she said. “[…] I tried to close the door. She came and she was like, ‘I’m sorry.’ Like, she literally said ‘I’m sorry’ and threw the first punch […] She was holding onto my hair and punching like the back of my head because she was holding my head down.”
The victim said she grabbed a knife to defend herself and her 4-year-old niece, who was standing feet away and wound up getting bruised in the brawl.
“I had my niece with me,” she said. “I don’t think anybody would stay still having their baby. It’s a freaking little girl.”

Neighbors said the two women hopped in a getaway car.
The resident said she called the cops after the women ran off because she thought she had stabbed the attacker who was wearing a T-shirt.
News of the apartment ambush left neighbors like Jerry Macintire stunned.
“That’s crazy,” he said. “[…] “We need more security in the area, and the building needs to be more locked and secure.”
“I didn’t even care about me,” the victim said. “It didn’t even hurt, but my thing is, you hurt my niece.”

“They’re stupid,” she said. “The one hitting me had no ski mask on, so that’s a stupid mistake, first of all. The second girl recording the whole thing had a ski mask on, so it didn’t make sense.”
