IHOP Aims to Break Guinness World Record for Most Pancakes Served in 8 Hours

Event Celebrates 20th Anniversary of National Pancake Day

IHOP is thrilled to announce its attempt to set a new Guinness World Record for the most pancakes served in eight hours, coinciding with the 20th anniversary of National Pancake Day. The event, dubbed “20K for Pancake Day,” will take place at the Santa Monica Pier on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Aiming High: 20,000 Pancakes in 8 Hours

The current record is held by the Calgary Stampede, a nonprofit community organization, which served more than 17,000 pancakes in eight hours in 2023. IHOP is aiming to surpass this record by serving 20,000 pancakes, and is inviting fans across the Los Angeles area to join in on the festivities.

Supporting a Good Cause

For every pancake served during the record attempt, IHOP will donate $1 to Feeding America, benefiting the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and its efforts to fight hunger in L.A. County. This initiative aligns with IHOP’s mission to make a positive impact in the communities it serves.

Participate and Celebrate National Pancake Day

Those who cannot attend the event at the Santa Monica Pier can still celebrate National Pancake Day on March 4. Participating IHOP locations nationwide will offer a free short stack of pancakes from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on this day.
