London’s Best Mulled Wine Spots
Nothing tells your nostrils it’s Christmastime quite like the waft of hot, spiced wine. At this time of year, London’s pubs are practically drowning in cauldrons of the stuff, some better than others. Here’s our pick of mulled wine that’s made well/served in particularly festive spots.
Mulled Wine at Mr Fogg’s Taverns
Get your Christmas buzz on with a glass of Aeronaut’s Mulled Wine.
An array of Mr Fogg’s establishments — namely Mr Fogg’s Tavern (Covent Garden), Botanical Tavern (Fitzrovia), Hat Tavern (Soho) and City Tavern (Liverpool Street) — serve up steaming glasses of Aeronaut’s Mulled Wine over the festive season (from 17 November) for around £9 a pop, and with the option to upgrade with a shot of Bacardi Caribbean Spice rum or Dewar’s Scotch for a £4 add-on. We find these venues particularly jolly at Christmas, as they go all out with the Victorian style decorations. You can also get a mince pie on the side, though that’ll set you back a further four quid — crumbs!
Mulled Wine on Top of The O2
There’s a mulled wine waiting at the top of The O2 for you.
Climb to the crest of the The O2 this festive season (21 November 2025- 4 January 2026), and you won’t just be able to drink in the views, but also sip a well-deserved mulled wine, inside a walk-in snow globe. Though we cannot vouch this will be the finest mulled wine to ever pass your lips, the views are most certainly set to stun, and you should be able to pick out some of the meatier Christmas displays, for instance The Shard’s.
Mulled Wine at Fire & Fromage
Make a pit stop on the South Bank for mulled wine or cider.
Taking a wintry stroll along the South Bank? Jimmy Garcia’s Fire & Fromage is back on the Queen’s Walk once more (30 October 2025-4 January 2026) — and with it, a pop-up bar peddling mulled wine and cider, which you can sup on sat beneath twinkling fairy lights, or take with you as you continue a-strolling, perhaps around the Southbank Centre Winter Market. There’s also the option to supercharge your hot booze with a splash of brandy, spiced rum or whisky, although pssst! that’s what hip flasks are for.
Mulled Wine at Quill Wine Bar
Quaff at Quill.
Borough Yards wine bar Quill must’ve been one of the first to get the mulled wine on the stove; they’ve been pouring it since October in some rather fetching glassware, and garnished with a wedge of dried orange — classy! You’d also hope that given wine’s their speciality, they’re using a half-decent vino too. If your London Bridge train is cancelled, you know what to do.
The Run Run Reindeer Cocktail at Miracle

The words ‘fizzy mulled wine’ might have you running a country mile, but hold your horses reindeer. When we first tasted this chilled aperitif twist at Christmas pop-up Miracle (10 November-23 December 2025), we were so impressed, we made a batch for our own Christmas party. The Run Run Reindeer is an effervescent Christmas classic in waiting, and don’t let the naysayers burst your bubble(s).
Mulled Wine at London’s Festive Ice Rinks

Many of London’s festive ice rinks are peddling mulled wine; refresh yourself post-skate, or simply watch others glissade on the ice, while you hit the hot wine. Among those we know to be dishing up mulled wine is the Queen’s House at Greenwich, the rink at Hampton Court Palace, and SKATE Lounge at Somerset House — where you can beef your bevvy up with a shot of rum, whisky or brandy.
