Speaking at a press conference Wednesday afternoon, Houston Police Department Lt. Larry Crowson said the investigation was ongoing and there was no longer a threat to the public. “There are homicide investigators en route to the scene, they’ll start talking to the witnesses here," Crowson said. "Of course, Sugar Land is conducting their investigation on their homicide down there. Hopefully they’ll get more information on that."

According to Crowson, Sugar Land police informed HPD to be on the lookout for a Silver Ford Escape, following the suspected road rage shooting near US 90. It is currently unknown why the suspect traveled to the Southwest Houston mechanic shop located near 13400 Fondren Rd, according to police. Crowson said the preliminary investigation indicated that one of the male victims at the second location was shot and killed while attempting to film the suspect with a phone.
