New Restaurants in Town
Yiayia’s Greek Kitchen
Located in Upper Kirby, Yiayia’s Greek Kitchen is a new spot from Pappas Restaurants that pays homage to its Greek roots. The menu is designed to be shared, with dishes like dolmades, smoked shrimp tarama, Mediterranean sea bass, lamb shank, and traditional moussaka. You can complement your meal with cocktails made with Greek spirits and desserts like panna cotta and baklava cheesecake.
Savoir
In the Heights, Savoir has quietly reopened after shutting its doors earlier this year. The restaurant will serve the same Mediterranean-style cuisine that diners loved, including signature pastas and pizzas. Plans for Patton’s, the speakeasy steakhouse within Savoir, are still being finalized.
Kilani Food Hall
In Missouri City, the new Kilani Food Hall has seven vendors all in one spot, offering a range of cuisines. You can choose from Lit Wings’ crispy fried fowl, Nashville-style hot chicken from Burnin’ Chick, burgers and hot dogs from Cheeky Buns, shawarma from the Shawerma Man, Mediterranean bites from Gyro Bros, fried fish and seafood from A&M Fry Shack, and Mexican cuisine from Taco Nova.
Koe Wetzel’s Riot Room
In Midtown, Koe Wetzel’s Riot Room is a new party spot from the Texas-born singer. The menu features plates like chicken wings, beer-can chicken, comforting meatloaf, burgers, sandwiches, and salads for lunch and dinner. Brunch lovers can enjoy omelets, pancakes, and strawberry French toast.
BNX Burgers & Fries
In Webster, BNX Burgers & Fries is a new burger joint from Tony and Mike Mistry of Burger Nation. The menu includes classic burgers with patties from Pasadena’s Ditta Meat and buns made fresh locally, as well as grilled or crispy sandwiches, chicken tender baskets, crispy fries, and shakes.
