She wanted the store to feel like it had been there forever, so she incorporated unique and vintage elements into the design. The logo in the front window was designed by her friend Matt Tabor to resemble iconic Houston logos, and the copper leaf will patina over time, giving it a lived-in look.

The store features a mix of new and old furniture, including a large apothecary-like cabinet from the former Bill’s Junk and unique pieces sourced by antique dealer friends. Other distinctive items include a shelf made by Bussey’s boyfriend and a green-accented cashier table modeled after a 1930s architectural piece. The flower brackets on the clothing racks were commissioned from blacksmith Carson Terry and add a whimsical touch to the store.
Future Plans for Ollie Shop
Bussey reveals that Ollie Shop will be leaning into selling more resale and vintage items in the future. Current must-have items include vintage silver rings, clothing by Caron Callahan, tinned fish candles, and antique yellow glass candlestick holders. The store will also be hosting events, including a sample and vintage sale on Saturday, July 6, and a pop-up with Sundown Vintage on Thursday, July 18, and Friday, July 19.
