Early Voting Turnout in Harris County

The early voting period for the November 2025 election in Harris County has come to a close, with a total of 212,104 voters casting their ballots between October 20-31. This represents a little over 8% of the registered voters in the county, with nearly 205,000 voting in person and about 7,000 voting by mail.

The early voting turnout for this year’s election is lower than the last comparable election in Harris County, which took place in November 2023. Three of the five most-visited early voting locations are located within Cy-Fair ISD, which has a contentious school board election. The state’s third-largest school district has three trustee positions on the ballot, with politically conservative school board members looking to maintain their 6-1 advantage. Additionally, several of the top 10 polling locations are within Texas’ 18th Congressional District, where 16 candidates are vying to fill the seat vacated by Turner.

There were 69 early voting locations across Harris County, and there will be 576 polling locations on Election Day. Voters registered in the county can cast ballots at any of the locations. Polls will be open from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. on Election Day, which is Tuesday.
