Handies Douzo, a popular spot from the inner loop, is opening its third location in the Houston area on Monday, August 18. This new restaurant is located near other well-known establishments like Saigon Hustle and the Blue Lagoon Club, at 9936 Westview Dr.
The Handies Douzo Experience
At Handies Douzo, diners get to sit at a unique 26-seat, U-shaped counter and enjoy a Japanese-inspired menu. About Duckstache Hospitality
Handies Douzo is part of Duckstache Hospitality, a group founded by chefs Daniel Lee and Patrick Pham in 2019. The group started with Kokoro Hand Roll Bar in Bravery Chef Hall and has since grown to include several other restaurants, such as Aiko, Himari, Doko, and Bar Doko. Most recently, they opened Kokoro Handroll Bar in The Woodlands Waterway. Despite some setbacks, including a vandalism incident that delayed the opening, Duckstache is excited to bring Handies Douzo to Spring Branch.
Opening Details
The new Handies Douzo location in Spring Branch will be open Sunday through Wednesday from 11 am to 10 pm, and Thursday through Saturday from 11 am to 11 pm. Reservations can be made through OpenTable. According to Duckstache COO Martin, "Spring Branch is an area we’ve had our eye on for a long time. There are a lot of exciting things happening in the neighborhood, and we’re looking forward to adding our high-quality handrolls to the mix."
