It was not immediately clear if the two people, described as good Samaritans, knew the victim.<\/p>\n The child was rushed for treatment to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead, officials said.<\/p>\n Investigators did not immediately say if foul play was suspected but Tarrant County criminal investigators were trying to determine how the young girl ended up in the water, according to the news statement.<\/p>\n The medical examiner is expected to identify a cause of death as part of the ongoing investigation, officials said.<\/p>\n It was at least the second water-related fatality in Tarrant County in as many days.<\/p>\n A woman was found dead Tuesday evening in the Trinity River.<\/p>\n Police were called around 5 p.m. to the Trinity River off White Settlement Road.
