Mourners gathered Saturday afternoon for private funeral services for Ava Moore, who was killed in a Jet Ski hit-and-run over Memorial Day weekend.<\/p>\n
The U.S. Air Force conducted full military honors at the end of the funeral outside The Met Church in Fort Worth. <\/p>\n
According to a GoFundMe, Moore was a 2024 graduate of Keller Timber Creek High School and had just completed her first year at the Air Force Preparatory School in Colorado Springs, Colo. She was a member of the prep school\u2019s basketball team.<\/p>\n
The suspected driver of the Jet Ski, Daikerlyn Alejandra Gonzalez Gonzalez, 21, was arrested Tuesday in Dallas and faces a felony manslaughter charge in connection to the death. <\/p>\n
Her arrest affidavit also lists charges of reckless operation and excessive speed and leaving the scene of an accident involving death. <\/p>\n
