Introduction to Netflix House Dallas<\/h1>\n

The wait is nearly over. Netflix House Dallas is about to open to the public. Beginning Thursday, the attraction from the streaming service will welcome fans at the over 100,000-square-foot venue at Galleria Dallas. Doors open at 10 a.m. for the site, which has some ticketed events.<\/p>\n

The launch is the culmination of months of effort to transform what was once a Belk department store into a gathering place for experiences and games, along with a sizable store and an ample eating area.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a Herculean effort,\u201d Greg Lombardo, Netflix, vice president of experiences, said in an interview. \u201cThankfully, we had incredible tradespeople here.\u201d<\/p>\n

More than 270 such workers assisted in getting Netflix House ready.<\/p>\n

The venue is just the second such Netflix House, with the first opening last month in the Philadelphia area. The site adds to some of the bigger North Texas attractions, especially those tied to Hollywood-related offerings. Others include a Universal Kids Resort that\u2019s slated for Frisco in 2026.<\/p>\n

The site is pulsating with small and large references to Netflix titles, including playful neon signs that hang from the ceiling on the second floor and dynamic artistic impressions around a large, red staircase that greets visitors entering from the first-floor entrance facing toward the west. It might be Bridgerton, The Queen\u2019s Gambit or The Witcher.<\/p>\n

And the site is built to change to keep folks interested and reflect rising titles. For example, it added KPop Demon Hunters to the lineup in Dallas after the success of the movie earlier this year.<\/p>\n

Experiences and Attractions<\/h4>\n

\u201cAt the heart of everything we do \u2014 (it\u2019s) trying to figure out new and innovative ways to bring fans closer to the stories they love,\u201d Lombardo said. \u201cAnd I think the big piece of that for us has been to create an experience that is going to be ever-changing and is going to evolve.\u201d<\/p>\n

Stranger Things plays a key role in Dallas with an attraction that puts visitors in the fictional town of Hawkins as they look to find missing kids. Patrons get a kind of flashlight and a set of headphones that provide on-the-go instructions. The first half of the fifth and supposed final season of the show was released at the end of November.<\/p>\n

With Squid Game: Survive the Trial, participants compete in different types of events that are derived from the series. A wristband helps keep scores that involve tests of nerve, strategy and teamwork.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s also Netflix RePLAY, an area that covers retro-style games, story rooms and more sports-focused titles. Screens in the middle of the room let folks see how their scores hold up against others.<\/p>\n

Retail and Dining<\/h5>\n

There\u2019s also a retail area that faces the mall itself, welcoming customers with Netflix-tied products. On display, shoppers will find Lego sets, socks, children\u2019s books and T-shirts inspired by shows such as KPop Demon Hunters or One Piece.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s also a section devoted to items tied to the local region, with hoodies and other choices.<\/p>\n

Future Plans<\/h6>\n

The company has plans for a third such venue in the Las Vegas area \u2014 and is using the Dallas site to help inform future expansion moves.<\/p>\n

\u201cUltimately, in success, we\u2019d love to see more Netflix Houses,\u201d Lombardo said.<\/p>\n
