Keith Kemp of Paris was shot by Carrollton officers after he threatened to shoot them and himself, ran away and then pointed a gun in the officers\u2019 direction, Carrollton police said in a news release Wednesday.<\/p>\n
Officers pulled Kemp over for a traffic violation around 9:50 p.m. Tuesday in the 2700 block of East Belt Line Road, police said.<\/p>\n
During the stop, officers suspected use of narcotics and a drug investigation commenced, police said. Kemp then brandished a handgun and threatened to shoot himself, according to police.<\/p>\n
