Ready to check out Ikea when you\u2019re at a Best Buy? The global home decor store is bringing its European perspective to the electronics retailer, and North Texans will be among the first to see the pilot collaboration, even as Ikea steps up locally.<\/p>\n
Beginning this fall, 10 locations in Texas and Florida will feature dropped-in Ikea shops that will let customers get planning support and make purchases for their kitchens and laundry rooms, according to a statement. The miniature store will cover about 1,000 square feet \u2014 and echo the look of some of the displays shoppers would recognize from the regular Swedish retail spots.<\/p>\n

In North Texas, the new stores will be in Mesquite, between Dallas and Forney, and in Fort Worth near the Hulen Mall. There will be three others in the state, and the balance is slated for Florida.<\/p>\n
If this seems unusual, that\u2019s because it\u2019s the first time Ikea products and services will be accessible through another U.S. retailer. It\u2019s providing \u201cinnovative ways\u201d for both retailers to meet customers in a shifting environment.<\/p>\n

Already, Ikea, which has three locations in the region that include two large stores, is adding to its footprint in North Texas. Ikea will add a store in Dallas, it announced earlier this year. The chain also recently broke ground on a smaller-footprint site in Rockwall slated for the spring of 2026.<\/p>\n

At the new experience in Best Buy, customers can also receive support from Ikea workers to plan and order home furnishings. Meanwhile, the electronics retailers, Best Buy\u2019s \u201cblue shirts,\u201d can provide advice on electronics.<\/p>\n
