Confirmation of the Relationship
Four-time NBA champion Thompson and three-time Grammy winner Stallion coyly confirmed days of rumors, naturally via Instagram, with Thompson posting multiple photos from The Bahamas with the caption “Sweet Bells son.”
One photo shows Thompson, his face partially obscured, kissing a woman who had her back turned to the camera, but Thompson’s 16.8 million followers and Stallion’s 32.6 million followers immediately sleuthed the new power couple connection. Another Thompson IG pic showed male and female hands clasping.

Reactions from Fans and Celebrities
NBA fans and pop culture enthusiasts — aren’t they one in the same? — immediately approved. Thompson’s former Golden State teammate Draymond Green exclaimed on Thompson’s IG post “Killa!” Former Maverick Willie Cauley-Stein commented, “You are the goat.”

Impact on the Mavericks
Though Mavericks fans are excited about rookie Cooper Flagg’s first two Las Vegas Summer League performances, Thompson and San Antonio native Megan Jovon Ruth Pete (her given name) stole the weekend and had fans HISSing excitedly.
Flagg’s time in Vegas may have been short-lived, but there’s plenty to take away from his time on the court.
