New Restaurants Coming to DFW International Airport
More than a dozen new restaurants are expected to open at DFW International Airport in the next few years, ranging from a 24-hour Chick-fil-A, to the first Mesero restaurant in an airport, to two new coffee shops founded in Dallas and Fort Worth. The board of directors approved a group of new eateries across all terminals in early May 2025.
North Texas-based Restaurants Flying In
A Plano-based chain restaurant, Velvet Taco, is expected to open in DFW Airport’s Terminal C Pier. Velvet Taco started on Dallas’ Henderson Avenue as a late-night taco spot in a busy bar neighborhood. The taco company is now owned by private equity group Leonard Green & Partners, and it has expanded to a half-dozen states outside of Texas.
Mesero, the Dallas-born Mexican restaurant known for its brisket tacos, shrimp ceviche, and margaritas, is expected to open in the Terminal A Pier. Mesero has seven restaurants in Dallas-Fort Worth and two more outside of Texas.

Olivella’s Pizzeria will also move into the airport, to Terminal A at Gate 14. The pizzeria sells Neapolitan and Roman style pies in University Park, East Dallas, and Fort Worth.
The airport made licensing agreements with two North Texas coffee shops, Brewed from Fort Worth and La La Land from Dallas. Brewed will sell pastries, coffee, and tacos in Terminal E at Gate 19. La La Land will serve drinks and snacks from B-43.
Fast Food Coming to DFW Airport
The airport’s first 24-hour Chick-fil-A is now on the way. Commit it to memory: It’ll be 24/6, not 24/7, as this chicken sandwich shop will be closed on Sundays. It’s expected to open in the Terminal A Pier.
Raising Cane’s hails from Louisiana, but it’s got strong Texas ties. One Raising Cane’s in D-FW is decked out in Dallas Cowboys gear. In this 2024 file photo, Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons appeared at the chicken-finger restaurant.(Azul Sordo / Staff Photographer)
DFW Airport will get a second all-day fast-food shop when Raising Cane’s opens. This one in Terminal B at Gate 19 will be 24/7. Notably, Raising Cane’s support office is headquartered in Plano, just 25 miles from the airport.
A new Whataburger at Terminal B at Gate 40 will have kiosks where customers can order their own food.
And a Salad and Go is expected to open near the new Chick-fil-A, at the Terminal A Pier. Salad and Go is an Arizona-based company known for its sizeable salads that cost less than $8. A flurry of growth since 2021 has brought dozens of Salad and Go shops to Dallas-Fort Worth.
