Two men have been arrested in connection with a triple homicide in Parker County earlier this month.
Barrett Copeland, 19, and Trin McKnight, 27, were booked Monday into the Parker County jail. Police initially arrested a third man, but released him from jail Wednesday and dropped the charge against him after further findings exonerated him of the crime, police said.
Each man faces a charge of capital murder and is being held in lieu of $1 million, jail records show.
In addition to capital murder, Copeland faces a charge of burglary of a habitation, with separate bail for that count set at $50,000. McKnight also was arrested on an outstanding warrant for possession of a controlled substance out of Tarrant County, according to the sheriff’s office.

The bodies of Tiffany Ann Williams, 44; David Wayne Walker, 42; and Robbie Allen Head, 55, were found April 24 near a water-filled creek in northern Hood County — days after the Parker County sheriff’s office asked for the public’s help finding “three people who may be in danger.”
The sheriff’s office said Tuesday the killings occurred April 20 at a home in southern Parker County.
