Introduction to Eledi, the New Restaurant from Anastacia Quiñones-Pittman
North Texans have had a chance to get to know the cooking of Anastacia Quiñones-Pittman through the years, most recently through her work as the long-serving executive chef at José.
Now, Quiñones-Pittman has teamed up with two partners to open their first restaurant, Eledi, later this year.
Quiñones-Pittman, who will serve as culinary director, will work with Victor Rojas and Carlos Marquez as owner-operators of Eledi through their new restaurant group Oh Hi Hospitality. An Instagram post from the restaurant said this is the first restaurant from the partnership.
“A decade of friendship, a lifetime of stories, and now — a new chapter,” the post reads.
Restaurant Concept and Menu
The concept is expected to have a focus on live-fire cooking and will lean on Quiñones-Pittman’s background of reinventing and reinterpreting Mexican techniques and flavors, according to a news release.

“With Eledi, I am focused on developing a culinary program and style that transcends boundaries,” she said in a statement. “While my background and passions are anchored in Mexican techniques and flavors, my goal is to avoid being defined by one genre.”
She said her approach is to “stay true to the spirit of the cuisine while allowing it to grow and evolve, letting every dish be shaped by the people who cook it and the communities that enjoy it.”
Chef’s Background and Inspiration
At José, located on West Lovers Lane near Inwood Road, Quiñones-Pittman earned three semifinalist nods for the James Beard Awards’ Best Chef Texas category. She is a first-generation Mexican-American and native Texan.
Rojas, who will take on the role of director of operations for Oh Hi Hospitality, has decades of experience working in Dallas restaurants, serving as general manager of three Stephen Pyles concepts, Bullion and José most recently.
Marquez, who is from Mexico City, will be the newly formed hospitality group’s beverage director. Before joining José, Marquez worked at Knox-Henderson’s Victor Tangos.
Restaurant Location and Name
The restaurant’s location has yet to be announced. However, an Instagram post from the restaurant notes it will be “in the heart of Dallas.”
While further details on the concept are sparse, there is a story behind the name: It’s derived from the names of Quiñones-Pittman’s mother, Elena, and her husband’s mother, Diana. The choice is meant to reflect the role of family, tradition and legacy involved in Eledi.
