The Accident
A body believed to be a driver who was involved in a single-vehicle collision was recovered from Copperas Branch Lake in Lewisville Sunday morning, according to police.
The crash occurred in the northbound lanes of the 2900 block of Interstate 35E at about 3:35 a.m. Saturday, a news release from Lewisville police said.
An initial investigation concluded that the vehicle left the roadway, went over the guardrail and into the lake.
Lewisville Fire Department’s dive team located and pulled the body, identified in medical examiner records as 29-year-old Robin Moore, out of the lake at about 11:16 a.m. Sunday, officials said.

Police said there is no evidence that suggests that other passengers were inside the car at the time of the crash.
