Trevon Woodards, 27, was arrested by the Bedford Police Department, Dallas police said. He was booked into the Euless city jail Friday night and faces charges of aggravated assault and assault causing bodily injury, a detention officer at the jail said.

It was nearing 2 a.m., and Rinaldi and her group of six friends were leaving a night club in Deep Ellum and waiting for their Uber.

While they were approaching the vehicle, a man — who hadn’t at all interacted with the group — struck Rinaldi in the face and knocked her unconscious, Rinaldi’s aunt Kelly Peralta previously told The Dallas Morning News.

Aftermath of the Attack

As a result, Rinaldi got a concussion, eight stitches in her forehead, a broken nose, three broken teeth and over $10,000 in medical expenses, according to the GoFundMe account created to help her with medical expenses.

“Nobody could’ve seen this coming. I think it was just the wrong place, wrong time,” she said.
