Roylee Pate was wounded in the shooting about 7:50 p.m. Sept. 25 while sitting in the parking lot of Preston Valley Shopping Center in the 12800 block of Preston Road, near LBJ Freeway, police said.
Pate was taken to a local hospital for treatment. In videos posted to social media, Pate said he had been shot in the leg.
