A Celina ISD teacher was arrested Thursday after police say she showed up to work “impaired.”
According to Celina police officials, officers were dispatched Thursday afternoon to Moore Middle School, where they questioned and arrested 40-year-old Jainya Walder. Walder is listed on the district’s website as a secondary English teacher.
Walder was booked into the Collin County jail on a charge of endangering a child. She remained in custody Friday, according to online jail records.
In a letter sent to parents, interim Principal Kendric Smith said Walder has been placed on administrative leave.
