Conspiracy to Commit Murder Foiled by Fort Worth Police

Three Individuals Arrested for Plot to Kill Two Acquaintances

In late January, Fort Worth police received a report of a kidnapping, which led them to thwart a plot to lure two acquaintances to a location and kill them. Two of the three individuals involved in the conspiracy were arrested on February 18, while the third was arrested on Monday. Two of the three remain in Tarrant County jail, with one having since posted bond.

Arrests and Jail Status

Police arrested Estefana De la Rosa, 17, and Christian Hernandez Carrizales, 31, on February 24. Jesus Huitron, 23, was arrested on Monday. As of Friday, De la Rosa was still in jail in lieu of a $100,000 bond, while Hernandez Carrizales was being held in lieu of bonds totaling $190,000.

Court-Appointed Attorneys Decline to Comment

Court-appointed attorneys for the trio declined to comment on the case when reached directly or through a representative by The Dallas Morning News.

How the Conspiracy Unfolded

The police were alerted at around 9 p.m. on January 29 to a gas station in the 2700 block of Las Vegas Trail, where they "learned of information" that initially led them to believe a woman had been kidnapped. A short time later, officers found the woman, identified as Estefana De la Rosa, 17, asleep in her car, which was parked down the street from her home. De la Rosa was unharmed and did not appear to be in danger.

The Plot to Murder

Investigators determined that De la Rosa, along with two other people, were "upset about a social media post and concocted a plan to murder" the person who called 911 to report the alleged kidnapping and his brother. De la Rosa had contacted the 911 caller asking them to come to the location. Officers discovered that the trio had purchased a firearm and ammunition as part of their plan.

Officer’s Comments

"It was a very calculated and very well thought-out on the part of the suspects," Officer Lorenzo Burrell told KXAS-TV (NBC5).
