Jake Ferguson’s Dream Come True
Sounds like Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson fulfilled one of his Wildest Dreams.
The former fourth-rounder is in Oxnard, Calif., for his fourth Cowboys training camp and on Thursday visited with “The Sweet Spot” on Sportsradio 96.7 FM/1310 The Ticket (KTCK-AM) where he delivered the name-drop of all name-drops.
Ferguson, who’s been engaged to college basketball star and social media influencer Haley Cavinder since April, told “The Sweet Spot” the story of how he met world-famous pop star Taylor Swift at a concert earlier this summer, and it seemed the 26-year-old Ferguson was still a little starstruck at camp.
“I shook her hand,” Ferguson revealed. “I still haven’t washed my hand.”
The Meeting with Taylor Swift
In June, Cavinder shared a video of herself partying alongside Swift at a celebratory concert at Travis Kelce’s and George Kittle’s Tight End University summer camp. What was billed as a Kane Brown concert featured a surprise appearance from Swift, who performed hit song “Shake It Off.” Ferguson was in attendance as well, and spent some time chatting with the 35-year-old megastar.
“She’s so normal,” Ferguson explained. “She met my fiancée, my fiancée was like, ‘She’s so nice!’ Not that I was expecting anything different, but like, she knew football. She was talking like, ‘We [the Chiefs] got a big game at Cowboys this year!’”
Indeed, Taylor. Kelce, Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs will play in Arlington this upcoming season in a widely anticipated Thanksgiving Day matchup.

Jake Ferguson and Haley Cavinder’s Football Fandom
Ferguson says Swift isn’t the only one who’s been converted into big-time football fandom. Cavinder is “locked in for the season” as well, and will be visiting Oxnard for 10 days later in camp.
Sounds like the perfect olive branch for the couple to extend for another hangout session with Swift in Dallas next November when the Chiefs come to town. Perhaps Jerry Jones should designate a Swift Suite for Thanksgiving Day’s matchup vs. KC.
