Introduction to the Dallas Stars Home Opener
Another game, another Central Division clash. The Dallas Stars look to continue their perfect start to the 2025-26 season as they host the Minnesota Wild for their home opener at American Airlines Center. To mark their first home game of the year, the Stars will host a series of pregame activities in Victory Park. That includes a chance to see the team’s players and coaches enter the arena and plenty more.

Pregame Event Schedule
4:00 p.m. — PNC Plaza outside AAC opens for fans. The plaza is located south of the arena.
5:30 p.m. — The Dallas Stars team will enter the arena through PNC Plaza, walking a Victory Green carpet on their way inside. The event is free and open to the public.
6:30 p.m. — Party on the PNC Plaza begins. The event will feature live music from Fort Worth duo Yokyo, a photo booth and giveaways, including a Toyota vehicle. The event is also free and open to the public.
7:00 p.m. — Doors open at AAC and fans can begin going inside. Fans will receive an LED bracelet that will be part of a special pregame show. Early arriving fans will also receive a 2025-26 schedule magnet. The Stars are encouraging fans to be seated by 8 p.m. for the pregame show ahead of the 8:30 p.m. puck drop.

The Stars are 2-0 after road wins over the Winnipeg Jets and Colorado Avalanche. Against the Jets, Dallas took a commanding 5-1 lead after an explosive start to the third period when they scored three goals in just over three minutes. They then had to hold on to win 5-4 after the Jets matched the three goal burst later in the period.
The Colorado game was a very different story. Jake Oettinger put on a cape with a 35-save performance as the Stars were outshot 39-22 in Denver. In the end, Mikko Rantanen was the hero with the shootout winner to beat his former team 5-4.
The Wild are 1-1. They lost their opener 7-4 against the Columbus Blue Jackets before bouncing back with a 4-3 shootout win against the Los Angeles Kings.
