Dallas Cowboys Update
Injuries and Player Status
FRISCO — Cowboys tight end Luke Schoonmaker is in concussion protocol and won’t practice on Wednesday and most likely is out for Friday’s preseason finale against the Falcons.
Coach Brian Schottenheimer said Schoonmaker suffered the concussion during Tuesday’s practice. The Cowboys are short handed at tight end with Brevyn Spann-Ford also out, nursing a high-ankle sprain.
Also, starting cornerback DaRon Bland didn’t practice with an unknown health issue. At least nine defensive players missed practice, including six cornerbacks.
As it stands, the team is also missing wide receiver Jonathan Mingo (knee), tackle Tyler Guyton (knee) and Saahdiq Charles (knee) on the offense.
