A man was killed in a shooting Friday morning and the suspected shooter was found dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, Arlington police said.
According to a news release, police were called at about 10:15 a.m. to a hair salon in the 7800 block of Cooper Street on reports of a shooting. At the scene, officers found a 37-year-old man, a customer of the the salon, with a gunshot wound.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. According to a news release, officers witnessed the suspected shooter, a woman, exiting the salon. When she noticed police, she went back inside and shot herself, the release said.
The woman, also 37, was taken to a hospital and later died, police said.
